Each September the library is organizing the Reading Festival which receives about 5,000 visitors and offers them about 50-60 events and activities of various kinds. The festival draws many groups of booklovers, creators and performers. The Reading Festival invites visitors to see reading through the prism of communication, playfulness, creativity, curiosity, theatre, music and experience of the unexpected. The festivalʼs theme is the Literary Pharmacy. Having entered the Pharmacy, visitors leave in a great mood and with a prescription from the librarian-pharmacist in hand, for free medicine/books.
